We start our adventure by picking up each passenger from their hotel or airbnb at 9:00 am or 2:00 pm. One day before the adventure, we will confirm the exact pick up time according to the location of your accommodation. Get ready to live an unforgettable experience in lima!"
1. Love Park:
We will visit the Parque del Amor inaugurated in 1993, the Parque del Amor is a public space located in the district of Miraflores. Its main attraction is the sculpture "El Beso", created by the Peruvian artist Victor Delfin. The park offers beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean and is a popular place for couples and tourists.
2. Huaca Pucllana (panoramic visit):
This pre-Inca pyramid was built by the Lima Culture between the 4th and 7th centuries A.D. It was used as a ceremonial and administrative center. Today, Huaca Pucllana is one of Lima's main archaeological sites and offers visitors a fascinating insight into the city's ancient history.
3. San Martin Square:
This square, located in the historic center of Lima, commemorates the independence of Peru and is dedicated to the liberator Jose de San Martin. In the center of the square is an equestrian statue of San Martin. The square is surrounded by historic buildings such as the first luxury hotel in our capital, the Hotel Bolivar, and the imposing, but disused, Teatro Colon. The Gran Hotel Bolivar, an emblematic hotel of Lima that has witnessed important historical and cultural events. We can also admire the National Club, a neoclassical building that houses a social and cultural club. The square has a pedestrian walkway that will allow us to enjoy a pleasant stroll while admiring the colonial and republican architecture of the buildings that surround it.
Our next stop is the church of Nuestra Señora de la Merced which dates back to the XVI century. Then we will go to the Plaza de Armas of Lima.
4. Plaza de Armas of Lima:
Also known as Plaza Mayor, it is the historical and political heart of Lima. It was founded by Francisco Pizarro in 1535 and has been the center of public life in the city ever since. In the square are the Cathedral of Lima, the Archbishop's Palace, the Government Palace, the Municipal Palace, and here we can see a combination of historical monuments and colonial houses with balconies, which are distinctive features of Peruvian colonial architecture. The balconies in the colonial houses are architectural elements that stand out for their beauty and style, these balconies are usually adorned with details carved in wood and wrought iron, and are a characteristic element of colonial architecture in Peru.
5. Reserve Bank of Peru:
Founded in 1922, it is the Central Bank of Peru and is in charge of regulating currency and credit in the country. The building of the reserve bank is an outstanding architectural work of Lima and houses an important art collection and a museum where we will appreciate the collection of treasures of Peru within which we will find objects of ceramics, gold and textiles from various pre-Columbian cultures.
6. San Francisco Church and its Catacombs:
Another of the places we will visit in Lima that will impress you the most is the San Francisco Church this is one of the most important architectural complexes in Lima and one of the most representative churches of the baroque style in South America. Built in the 17th century, this church is known for its impressive facade and its rich interior decoration which is decorated with religious artwork of great value, including paintings, sculptures and wood carvings. One of the highlights of the church is its library, which houses a collection of old books and historical documents. In addition to the church, the San Francisco complex includes a convent, a museum and the famous Catacombs. The Catacombs are a labyrinth of subway tunnels that were used as a cemetery in colonial times. It is estimated that they house the skeletal remains of more than 70,000 people and are an important archeological and historical site in Lima.
7. Pisco tasting:
To finish our tour we will make our last stop where we will relax and we will be able to appreciate how the pisco sour is prepared here we will also be able to taste other types of pisco variations, cocktails and more.
8. Return to the hotel: after enjoying the beauty and history, we will return to your hotel to conclude our tour.
Our pick up and return service to your hotel covers the areas of Miraflores, Barranco and San Isidro. If your hotel or accommodation is outside these districts, we offer the possibility to pick you up at the Parque del Amor (MIRAFLORES).
